The gamecocks last 9 win season was 2001 and was accomplished by beating Ohio State in the 2002 Outback bowl 31-28, the South Carolina team was coached by Lou Holtz. Spurrier did not become the USC Head Coach until 2005. Spurrier has a chance this season to reach 9 wins in the regular season with South Carolina. This would be the 1st time since 1984 when the Gamecocks went 10-2 under Head Coach Joe Morrison.Sean Doylenoreply@blogger.com
